Every day we can all choose to blow up our lives. Walk away from your job, your family and friends, your home, all of it. Every day you have that choice. I could wake up tomorrow and go lay down in a field and just stay put until the ground reclaims me and I simply rot away. I could get in my car and drive to the ocean and swim out until I could no longer hope to swim back to shore. I could take my dog and go off the grid. Start a new life in a handmade cabin in the woods living off grubs and rainwater without a name…
Or some less drastic options… I could play hooky from work for a day and go for a lovely hike in the woods. I could go stand in front of the supreme court building on a literal soapbox and shout all my grievances through a bullhorn. I could spend every dime in my bank account on the most decadent food available to me without regard for the future. I could get a face tattoo of a cuss word or shave my head. Give my whole wardrobe to Goodwill and become a nudist. Take a vow of silence or celibacy. Start an OnlyFans. Go to church…
Every day you can choose to do so many things… why would you ever choose to hurt other people and steal from them their one precious life? Especially kids man… just… why?
